The joy of painting with watercolors is not knowing exactly how the paint will merge and blend to create new colors and shapes that are completely unplanned. The unexpected results can be surprising and imaginative. I use lots of paint and many glazes to develop paintings with intense, glowing colors. The use of collage gives depth, texture and added interest to the work.
